This oddly reminds me of the fight between Rengoku and Akaza. One is losing but trying their hardest and has much superior skill in battle while the other is winning by constantly just regenerating endlessly.

Gaara even had the Kubrick Stare on lock. I Love Naruto, at first i thought it was cheesy seeing Guy Lee the first couple of scenes but then instantly got hooked honestly with Rock Lee in the first season. He was Main character vibes he’s awesome and Guy is hilarious with Kakashi. Fuckin love Naruto almost as much as DragonBall and ECW.

I’ve watched a fair amount of Shonen Anime at this point, but Lee dropping his weights and freaking Gaara out might be the greatest moment in all of them, from a sheer hype perspective. I tried watching Naruto a couple times before, but couldn’t get into it… until I came across this clip on Twitter that made me stick it through.

Rock Lee was amazing in this fight. His speed was already impressive before he took the weights off. When Lee did take off weights it shook the whole ground, and everyone looked like they had just shit themselves. 😂 Anyways, though Lee almost did win this fight. Man when he opened that 3rd inner gate wow. Lee wanted to continue fighting but Might Guy made Lee stop. Just so Lee wouldn't sustain anymore injuries especially since Gaara, had already caused major damage to his legs.

the second rock lee hit gaara, lee became the first and maybe the only person to break through gaara defense with only taijutsu in the naruto universe (i haven't seen boruto to know if someone else with only taijutsu that break through gaara or someone like gaara defense)

Think about it like this Lee took on a jinchuriki with nothing else to rely on but his hands 😂😂 and almost beat this man
